Description:
OUTCOMES:
1. Explain the basic concepts of the physiology of the endocrine system (hormones and endocrine glands).
2. Connect the anatomical structure and function of organ systems needs to maintain homeostasis and normal function of the human body.
3. Analyse the mechanisms of action and interaction of hormones, hormone secretion control mechanisms, mode of transmission of information via hormones
4. Explain and conclude the similarities and differences in the function of different types of muscle actin role, myosin and troponin in skeletal muscle contraction.
5. To define and interconnect functions of insulin, glucagon and glucagon-like peptides. Explain the classification and diagnosis of diabetes mellitus.
6. Analysing the foundation principles of supervision of water and electrolyte metabolism and define the functions antidiuretic hormone and aldosterone.
7. Analyse the functions of the male and female reproductive system.
8. Define and describe the basic problems in the functioning of the endocrine system
