Description:
Higher laboratory course 1 in physical chemistry is organized in a way that a student chooses one of the topics from the field of physical chemistry which are offered at the beginning of the course. The laboratory exercise is planned and performed independently by the student under the supervision of one of the assistants. It means that student has to search the literature, choose and learn certain experimental method relevant for the exercise (e.g. conductometry, potentiometry, UV-Vis spectrophotometry), design the experiment, prepare the solutions, perform the data acquisition, solve the problem and write the laboratory report.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. To plan an investigation of limited scope with the aid of an experienced researcher.
2. To search the relevant literature.
3. To carry out the experimental/computational investigations planned with the aid of an experienced researcher.
4. To prepare a report on the investigation results in a form of scientific paper.
5. To prepare and give a brief oral presentation of the research conducted.
