TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms. In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, the applicants must meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/2022).

In addition to the application, the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

The applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to hold a doctorate degree in natural science, the field of biology.

The applicants must also satisfy the following additional conditions: to have research experience related to the work in molecular laboratory, statistical processing of morphometric and molecular data, practical experience in spatial analysis, GIS, ecological niche modelling and R, as well as excellent command of written and spoken English. To prove such experience, the applicants enclose research papers, course certificates etc.

In addition to the application, the applicants must submit evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions listed in the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

Foreign nationals must submit a Croatian language certificate.

Applicants who qualify for employment preference under special regulations have to rely on the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided that they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

The applicants who meet all the terms and conditions of the Call, based on their duly completed, complete and timely application, will take part in a pre-selection procedure consisting of a comparative assessment of the information submitted in their respective CVs. Based on the results of the pre-selection procedure, a list of candidates shall be drawn up to be invited for an interview with the members of the Selection Board.

Any applicants who fail to attend the testing and the interview at the time and place as specified in the separate notification, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

The PMF collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifiying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION: 035-01/18-01; FILING NO: 251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
