Biography

Graduated in 2007 in geography, teacher specialisation, at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. In 2008, he enrolled in the doctoral study programme of geography, and became a junior researcher on the project ‘Urban systems in the spatial development of Croatia’. He has participated in the practical exercises of courses Geoinformatics, Geographic information systems, Analysis in GIS, Visualisation of spatial data in GIS, Use of computers in teaching geography, Remote research, and Mobile cartography. He spent the summer semester of 2009/10 at the Institute of Geography, University of Potsdam, Germany as part of the Erasmus programme. His primary areas of interest are geographic information systems, geoinformatics and remote research. His specific competencies include georeferencing, processing and analysis of vector and raster spatial data, visualisation of spatial data, processing and analysis of multispectral images collected in remote research. In 2015, he defended his Doctoral dissertation entitled “Object-oriented classification of land cover using multispectral satellite images: the example of the City of Zagreb’. He participated in the research project “Croatian Rural Areas: Scenario-based Approach to Discuss Planning and Development” under the leadership of Aleksandar Lukić, with a grant of the Croatian Science Foundation.
