Seminar for Optimization and Applications

On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, 12:00 hours, Jurica Maltar (Department of Mathematics, J. J. Strossmayer University Osijek) will give lecture as part of Seminar for Optimization and Applications, within Joint doctoral Mathematics study programme, titled:

"Visual place recognition: algorithms and image representation optimization".

Lecture will be held in Lecture room 2, Department of Mathematics, Ljudevit Gaj Square 6, Osijek.

Abstract: Two main concerns in the problem of visual place recognition are: how to represent a place and how to match it. By using graph theory, we can construct a powerful place matching algorithm. By using optimization techniques, we can adapt a place representation. Therefore, this seminar examines numerous optimization problems and how they are incorporated in the context of visual place recognition.
