Description:
Review of equipment and introduction in conventional imaging techniques in radiology. Review of conventional imaging anatomy (radiography and diascopy) of: respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and osteomuscular system; abdominal and pelvic organs. Basics in contrast agents and their utilisation (bowel passage, colonography, conventional angiography and phlebography). Review of different imaging techniques: ultrasound (US), computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR), positron emission tomography in combination with CT (PET/CT). Basics in radiologic anatomy of: central nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and osteomuscular system, abdominal and pelvic organs using: US, CT and MR imaging. Comparative anatomy review using different imaging methods. Demonstration of the possibilities and limitations of different imaging techniques and their possibilities in each anatomic region and organ system.
