Croatian seismological survey monitors earthquake activity in Croatia and surrounding regions. The main functions of the Seismological survey are:

operating the Croatian Seismograph and Accelerograph Networks
continuous monitoring and evaluation of the incoming microseismic data
determining the origin time, location and magnitude of observed earthquakes
providing information on major earthquakes to the public, the civil protection authorities and the media
collecting macroseismic data through an online questionnaire, over the phone, and in field surveys following a major event
organizing and archiving the obtained earthquake data
providing expert analysis of seismic activity in individual areas for the construction industry, insurance companies, etc.
