Dinko Plenković (1949-2021) graduated in physics at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He was first employed at the "Ruđer Bošković" Institute and then went to postgraduate studies at Harvard University, where he received his master's degree in 1980. He received his doctorate in 1982 at the University of Utah and then continued a long and successful career of a medical physicist, specializing in radiology. |

After his death, in the desire to support the education of future physicists in Croatia, especially future physics teachers, his widow Soo-Kuen Diana Plenković, through significant donation enables the thorough renovation of the physics lab in the building of the Physics Department and the establishment of the Dinko Plenković scholarship for future physics teachers. |
