Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell organization. Biomembranes, ER, GA, lysosomes, peroxisomes, plastids, mitochondria, cytoskeleton. Cell signalling: receptors and main types of pathways. Structure and organization of the nucleus, from DNA to chromosomes, cell division (mitosis and meiosis). The basis of genetics, Mendelian patterns of inheritance, sex linkage inheritance, gene mapping. Chromosomal mutations and genetic disorders. Population genetics, evolution and speciation. Ecology, unit, population, biocenose, ecosystem, biosphere, environment protection.
