Description:

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. To properly handle organic chemicals.
2. To plan organic synthesis and isolation of components from natural materials.
3. To isolate organic compounds from the reaction mixture by extraction.
4. To purify organic compounds isolated from the reaction mixture by column chromatography, distillation and recrystallization.
5. To identify organic compounds by thin layer chromatography (Rf value calculation), IR spectroscopy (recording of IR spectra of liquid and solid samples and their assignment) and NMR spectroscopy (the assignment of 1H NMR spectra).
