 Education: PhD (Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, 2002); Master thesis (Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, 1998); Diploma thesis (Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, 1994) at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

Affiliation and current position: Division of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb; Full Professor (2019–).

Research interest:

Primary: Design and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds as potential bioactive compounds. Stereoselective organic syntheses. Resolution of racemic compounds by enzyme catalyzed reactions. Kinetics and molecular modelling studies of enzyme catalyzed reactions. Design and synthesis of oximes, potential antidotes for organophosphorus poisoning. Secondary: Syntheses of dissymmetric surfactants.

Scientific papers: Coauthor in 39 scientific papers indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded Index (SCI-EXP), two review articles and one conference note.

Awards, recognitions and memberships: Scholarship Lise Meitner, Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung, Austria (2004). Assoc.
