COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: In this course, students are introduced to the basic concepts of differential and integral calculus of real functions of one real variable. The emphasis is on ideas and not on the number of artificial functions and technical tricks. In the lectures, basic concepts are introduced and elaborated and abundantly illustrated with examples, while in the exercises students adopt the appropriate techniques of approaching individual concrete problems and solving them.

11) Integration rules and the fundamental theorem of calculus.
12) Integration techniques.
13) Applications of integrals to volume and surface area calculations.
14) Improper integral.
