Description:
COURSE CONTENT:
Theoretical base of structural and dynamical properties of molecular systems:
1. Quantum theory
2. Atomic structure and atomic spectra
3. Molecular structure
4. Molecular spectroscopy (rotational, vibrational, UV, and NMR)
5. Statistical thermodynamics (basic concept)
6. Molecular interactions
Presentation of teaching materials.
Selection of examples and exercises.
Preparation of demonstrational experiment.
Preparation of laboratory exercise.
Preparation of procedure for laboratory exercise.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- to define basic principles of quantum theory
- to explain atomic structure
- to explain basic principles of molecular spectroscopy
- to discriminate microscopic and macroscopic properties of molecular systems
- to define basic models used to describe molecular interactions
