BASIC INFORMATION

The Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science participated in the implementation of the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) 2026 entitled Molecular Innovation: Function beyond Sweetness. The programme is part of the Erasmus+ initiative and is aimed at fostering international cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and experience, and the development of innovative teaching and learning methods.

PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION

The mobility was carried out in a blended format. The virtual component took place on 11, 12, and 23 March 2026, while the physical mobility was held in Zagreb from 16 to 20 March 2026. Students and teachers from the universities of Regensburg, Aveiro, Toulouse, Łódź, and Zagreb took part in the programme.

PARTICIPATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

A total of 9 students from the Department of Chemistry took part: eight master’s-level students and one doctoral student. Staff members of the Department participated in the organisation and delivery of the academic programme, and the main coordinator of the programme was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jana Pisk.

SUMMARY

The programme provided students with a comprehensive learning experience through lectures, practical exercises, and workshops, while at the same time encouraging intercultural exchange and collaboration with international colleagues. The active involvement of the teaching staff and associates of the Department of Chemistry contributed to good coordination and the high quality of implementation of all planned activities.

According to the submitted report, Erasmus BIP 2026 represents an example of good practice and may serve as a model for future international educational initiatives at the Department.
