Research interest: 1. Supramolecular chemistry in the solid state and crystal engineering with particular interest on the nature of non-bonding interactions responsible for the assembly of molecules into crystals, cooperativity and interference between interactions of different types and the influence of intermolecular interactions on molecular and supramolecular structure. 2. Dynamics in the solid state, including solid state phase transitions and chemical reactions in solids, as well as processes occurring within one phase, such as proton transfer and dynamic disorder. 3. History of science, with emphasis on history of crystallography.
Scientific papers: co-author of over 60 scientific papers in journals indexed in Current Contents database, 3 scientific papers in other journals, 5 professional papers, 4 conference papers and couple of dozen popular-science articles and other papers.
Awards and recognitions and memberships: Young Scientist Award of The society of university teachers, scholars and other scientists – Zagreb in 2012, Young Scientist Award of the Dean of the Faculty of Science in 2014. Member of the Croatian Chemical Society (2002-2005 president of the Student Section), Croatian Crystallographic Association, and Affiliate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry
