All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
To introduce the basic concepts of numerical mathematics, starting from linear algebra, and heading to the classical problems of the approximations of functions, numerical derivatives, integration and optimization.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1. Introduction.
2. Gauss isometries.
3. Approximation and interpolation.
4. The Least Square Method
5. Ortogonal polynoms and generalized Horners scheme.
6. Numerical integration.
7. Solving of non-linear equations
8. Introduction to optimization without boundaries.
