Description:
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: Teach students to:
design quantum algorithms which using quantum phenomena such as superposition and quantum entanglement solve given problems faster than classical algorithms

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1. Introduction to quantum mechanics. Basic concepts. Quantum superposition. Quantum entanglement. EPR paradox.
2. Mathematical model of quantum computing. Qubits and complex vector spaces. Quantum gates and quantum registers. No-cloning theorem.
3. Quantum algorithms. Deutsch algorithm. Shor factorization algorithm (quantum Fourier transformation). Grover search algorithm. Quantum error correction.
