She was born on the 2nd December 1969 in Zagreb. In 1988 A. Lucic had started study of biology on the Faculty of Science University of Zagreb and has graduated in 1993. Next year she has started to work as scientific novice – assistant at the Department of Zoology and attend postgraduate study of biology. A. Lucic finished her master degree in 1997, and doctoral thesis in 2004. At the 2007 she got position of Expert Associate at the Department of Zoology and two years later is promoted in Expert Consultant. Vocation of Scientific Associate got at 2012. She attended scientific specialization in hydrobiology through Erasmus Programme and teaching specialization through many workshops and seminars. A. Lucic conduct practical lessons in General Zoology and Basics of Histology and Embryology and has been mentor for 9 graduate theses. Area of her scientific interest is biology and ecology of autochthonous and alien invasive freshwater crayfish species. She managed and/or coordinated 3 international and 3 domestic scientific and expert projects and was involved as scientific associate in 2 international and 8 domestic scientific projects. A. Lucic published around 20 scientific, 10 expert publications and is co-author of 4 expert studies. She is author of book chapter, co-author of gymnasium handbook and two scripts. A. Lucic is very active in popularization zoology through school projects, popular lectures, contributions for TV school programme and editing children’s publications. She is member of Croatian Biological Society, International Association of Biology and through many years has been member of Republic Committee for National competition in Biology. From 2012 is manager of Zoological Library at the Department of Zoology.
