Enironmentalism is a diverse ideological, philosophical and social movement focused on envrironment and nature protection. Its topics are directly related with the expertize of biologists, which otne take central roles in these movnements. The aime of this course is to introduce the diverse field of environmentalism to students in order to increase their knowledge and perception of interrelatedness of environmental issues with economy, politics and/ or culture required for solving complex environmental problems. Understanding of such interrelatednedss is crucial for their future work in any sector, whether public, private of non-govremental. The aim of the course is also to raise awareness of students of the importance of active participation in issues related to protection of environment and nature. |
