Born in 1964 in Zagreb where he attended primary and secondary school. In 1983 she enrolled in Biology, Experimental Biology, Faculty of Science in Zagreb. The study ended in 1988 with mastering difference examinations and graduate work for extra study for teaching biology. Since 1989 she has been working in the Department of Zoology as a researcher and assistant carries out teaching assignments related to course Invertebrates. That same year, she enrolled in postgraduate studies in natural sciences, biology area, the direction of ecology. In 1991 she defended her master's thesis and doctoral dissertation in 1996 with limnological research of biocenological and trophic macrofauna structure. In the academic title of assistant professor in the Department of Biology was elected in 1997, as well as associate professor in 2007. From 2001 onwards handing biology teaching for teaching courses at the Department of Biology and continues to participate in the field study of the biodiversity of invertebrates. She has specialized in the field teaching methods at Universitat Erlangen, Nuremberg, Germany. Under the auspices of the Department of Biology and Societas biologorum croatica, aiming to develop the teaching of biology, he was the initiator and driving force of journal and various activities, e-learning and collaboration with teachers of biology - Educatio biologiae (EdBi) as well as various activities for pupils - Bioscholar.

Scientific interest of 2007 was redirected to educational research of teaching biology at all learning levels with a focus of transformation of existing concepts, conceptual approach on active teaching with experiential, discovery and research learning through appreciation of cognitive levels in the teaching cycle - the preparation and evaluation of teaching.
Continued participation in the survey of inland water ecosystems macrofauna, where traces the influence of circadian rhythms and macrophytes eutrophic system.
Performs tasks that are associated with educational activities of the parent institutions of higher education and its promotion.
Participates in the organization and execution of training programs for biology teachers.
