TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).
For all points of the Call, the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.
For point 1 of the Call, in addition to their application, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: - to have completed a university graduate study programme in CHEMISTRY, research-oriented (a master’s degree in chemistry or a pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer in chemistry);
- 5 years of working experience in an expert associate position, as evidenced by the CV;
- to have published, since the last appointment to the position of an expert associate, either as an independent or the first or the main author, a scientific paper, where the scientific paper may be replaced by three scientific papers written in co-authorship, or with an independent or the first or the main authorship of three professional papers related to the relevant field;
- to have experience in using isothermal titration and dissolution calorimetry and the NMR spectroscopy; as well as the experience related to the physical and chemical characterization of supramolecular systems, based on the enclosed reprints of published scientific papers.
In addition to the application, the applicants under point 2 of the Call should satisfy the following conditions:
- to have completed a university graduate study programme in CHEMISTRY, research-oriented (a master’s degree in chemistry or a pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer in chemistry);
- to have knowledge of analytical tools (NMR, HPLC, SPE, IR and similar) and chemical synthesis methods, based on the enclosed abstracts of theses or dissertations and/or science conference proceedings.
In addition to the application, the applicants under point 3 of the Call should satisfy the following conditions:
- to have completed a university graduate study programme in CHEMISTRY, research-oriented; a university graduate study programme in MOLECULAR BIOLOGY; a university integrated undergraduate and graduate study programme in BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY, teaching-oriented.
In addition to the application, the applicants under point 4 of the Call should satisfy the following conditions:
- to have a doctorate degree in natural sciences, the field of physics.
For points 1, 2, and 3, the applicants must enclose with their applications the evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions listed in the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
For points 1, 2, 3, and 4, the applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations must indicate in their application that they intend to rely on their preference rights, providing all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided that they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and that they have achieved top score at the interview.
An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.
Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.
Foreign nationals must submit a Croatian language certificate for all points of the Call.
All applicants under points 1, 2, 3, and 4, who are eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call and who have submitted a duly completed and timely application, shall be invited for an interview with the Selection Board.
The applicants will receive a separate notification advising them of the time and place of the interview. Any applicants who fail to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate notification, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying their qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for the submission of applications for the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
The results of the Call will be published on the PMF website: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
