TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).

For all points of the Call, the applicants must enclose the following with their application: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

The applicants for points 1 of the Call must satisfy the following terms and conditions:

• doctoral degree in natural science, the field of physics.

The applicants for point 2 of the Call must satisfy the following terms and conditions:

• university graduate degree in chemistry, research-focused (Master of Chemistry or pre-Bologna graduate chemical engineer;
• 5 years of work experience at an expert associate level position, based on employment contracts, employer certificates detailing the work experience etc.
• to have published, since the last appointment to the position of an expert associate, either as an independent or the first or the main author, a scientific paper, where the scientific paper may be substituted with three scientific papers written in co-authorship, or with an independent or the first or the main authorship of three professional papers related to the relevant field. The supporting evidence includes published papers.
• to have experience related to the diffraction methods of structural analysis, and to other methods of examining solid state materials. The supporting evidence includes the reprints of published research papers.  

For point 3 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

• university graduate degree in chemistry, research-oriented (Master of Chemistry or pre-Bologna graduate chemical engineer);
• 5 years of work experience at an expert associate level position, based on, for instance, employment contracts, employer certificates detailing work experience etc.;
• to have published, since the last appointment to the expert associate position, either as an independent or the first or the main author, a scientific paper, where the scientific paper may be substituted with three scientific papers written in co-authorship, or with an independent or the first or the main authorship of three professional papers related to the relevant field. The supporting evidence includes published papers;
• to have experience in using diffraction methods of structural analysis and other methods of examining solid state materials. The supporting evidence includes the reprints of published papers.

For points 2, and 3 of the Call, the applicants should enclose with their applications the evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions listed in the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. For all points of the Call the applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and that they have achieved top scores in the interview.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.

For all points of the Call foreign nationals must provide a Croatian language certificate.

Candidates who are applying under all points of the Call, and who fully satisfy the formal terms and conditions of the Call, may be invited to take part in an interview.

The applicants will receive an e-mail invitation advising them of the time and place of the interview.

Any applicant who fails to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for the submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette. 

The results of the Call will be published on the official website of the PMF: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
