2) an associate to the associate position of assistant in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of organic chemistry, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Organic Chemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry – 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).

For all points of the Call, the applicants must enclose the following with their respective applications: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

Under point 1, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

- to have completed a university graduate study programme in Geology;

Additional conditions:

• Laboratory and field work experience related to micropalaentology, based on the attached supporting evidence including scientific papers, conference proceedings or research training certificates.                                                   

The applicants under point 2 of the Call must satisfy the following conditions:

- to have completed a university graduate study programme in Chemistry, research-focused;

Additional conditions:

• experience working with bacterial cultures, based on the attached supporting evidence including a thesis and/or scientific papers.

For all points of the Call, the applicants who are foreign nationals must provide a Croatian language certificate.

The applicants for point 1 must enclose with their application a proof of eligibility under the additional terms and conditions in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Research-Teaching, Teaching or Associate Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the University of Zagreb, PMF Department of Geology.

The applicants under point 2 of the Call should enclose with their respective applications evidence of eligibility under the additional terms and conditions in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the University of Zagreb, PMF Department of Chemistry.

For all points of the Call, the applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and achieve top score in the selection procedure.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.

Eligible applicants may be invited to take part in an interview within the framework of the selection procedure.

If invited, the applicants will receive a separate e-mail advising them of the time and place of the interview.

Any applicant who fails to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
