All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:
The role and importance of environmental chemical analysis. Sampling procedures and classical methods of environmental analysis. Spectrophotometric methods. Electrochemicl methods of analysis. Mass spectrometry. Methods for solid sample analysis. Gas chromatography. Analysis of water samples. Analysis of gaseous samples. Direct spectrophotometric analysis of gaseous air pollutants. Analysis of sulfur dioxide. Analysis of carbon monoxide. Analysis of nitrogen oxides. Analysis of hydrocarbons. Analysis of particulate matter.

Learning outcomes:

Knowledge of the common terminology and nomenclature of instrumental analytical methods
Ability to create necessary analytical methods
