However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:

LEARNING OUTCOMES: Knowledge of basic paleontological analysis of fossil record, Ability to describe and determine relation between fossil and sediment, Ability to understand general characteristics of fossil remnants , Ability to understand general aspects of paleoecology, paleogeography and biostratigraphy, Ability to understand extinction and evolution through geologic past.
COURSE CONTENT: Fossils and fossilization; Taphonomy and paleontological analysis of fossil record; Elements of fossil remains and microfacies; Taxonomy, Evolution; Fossil Protistans; Paleobotany, Sponges, Arcaeocyathans, Cnidarians; Molluscs and Polymeria; Oligomeria and Vertebrates; Trace fossils; Paleoecology; Biostratigraphy; Paleobiogeography; Extinction; History of the Earth.
