TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, applicants have to meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette Nos 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14,  60/15 and 131/17.)

In addition to their applications, applicants for points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 have to submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, proof of citizenship.

For points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of the Call, applicants have to submit evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions according to the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

For point 1 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to hold a doctoral degree in the area of natural science, field of biology.

Additional terms and conditions of the Call: working knowledge of Unix environment and bioinformatics packages, programs and scripts written in CC++, Perl and Python programming languages. Use of R programming package in phylogenetic and statistical analyses of protists and plants.

For point 2 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to hold a doctoral degree in the area of natural science, field of biology.

Additional terms and conditions of the Call: to have experience in spectrophotometric analyses of plant extracts and computer (biological) data analysis. Authorship of scientific papers in the field of phytochemistry.

For point 3 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in molecular biology.

Additional terms and conditions of the Call: to have experience of working with animal and plant cells.

For point 4 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in molecular biology, experimental biology.

Additional terms and conditions of the Call: to have experience in microscopic analyses and basic molecular methods, experience working with model organisms, experience in teaching.

For point 5 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in molecular biology.

Additional terms and conditions of the Call: to have experience in computer (biological) data analysis, working experience of R programming package, working experience of Linux operational system.

For all points of the Call, foreign nationals have to submit a Croatian language certificate.

Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations have to invoke the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
