TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, applicants have to meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette Nos 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14,  60/15 and 131/17.)

In addition to their application, for points 1 and 2 of the Call applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

For point 1 of the Call, applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in physics – geophysics; meteorology and physical oceanography tracks; or a related natural science university study programme of meteorology.

For point 1 of the Call, preference will be given to applicants having experience: in programming and knowledge of python or fortran programming languages.

For point 2 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following condition: to hold a doctorate degree in the area of natural science, the field of geophysics.

For point 2 of the Call, applicants have to satisfy the following additional condition: to have experience in programming, climate modelling and use of advanced statistical methods.

Foreign nationals applying under either point of this Call have to submit a Croatian language certificate.

The applicants applying under the points 1 and 2 of the Call who are fully eligible under all the formal terms and conditions of the Call, as evident from their duly completed and timely application, will be invited for testing and an interview with the Selection Board.

In case of a large number of applicants (more than 5), a preselection procedure will be conducted among the applicants who fully meet the terms and conditions of the Call, provided they have submitted their duly completed and timely application, by comparative assessment of the information contained in their respective CVs. Based on the results of the preselection procedure, a list of applicants will be drawn to be invited for testing and an interview with the members of the Selection Board.

Any applicants who fail to show up for the testing and the interview at the time and place as specified in the special notification, will be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations have to rely on the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

The Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifiying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.

The results of the Call will be published on the PMF website: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
