TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, applicants have to meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette Nos 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14,  60/15 and 131/17).

In addition to their application, for point 1 of the Call the applicants must submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to hold a doctoral degree in natural science, the field of biology.

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have experience in neuroscience research, working with animal models and teaching physiology, which can be demonstrated by scientific papers.  

For point 1 of the Call, preference will be given to applicants: applying molecular quantification methods (tissue extraction and preparation for analysis, RT-PCR, HPLC) and behavioural testing (behavioural investigations and computer data analysis).

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must submit evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions according to the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Biology of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

Foreign nationals must submit a Croatian language certificate.

Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations have to rely on the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided that they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

A preselection procedure will be conducted among the applicants who fully meet the terms and conditions of the Call, provided that they have submitted their duly completed and timely application, by comparative assessment of the information contained in their respective CVs. Based on the results of the preselection procedure, a list of applicants will be drawn to be invited for an interview with the members of the Selection Board.

The Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifiying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for point 1 of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
