TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, applicants have to meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette Nos 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14,  60/15 and 131/17.)

In addition to the application, for points 1, 2, and 3 of the Call applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to hold a doctoral degree in natural science, the field of biology.

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have research experience in isolating and characterising diatom laboratory cultures and in metagenomic analysis of microbial communities, supported by evidence in the form of scientific papers.

For point 2 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to have completed a university graduate study programme in molecular biology.

For point 2 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have experience in working with epigenetic methods; to have read an epigenetics course during the graduate and/or doctoral studies; to have worked with animal cell cultures, as supported by evidence in the form of past work experience (project work, conference proceedings, scientific papers).

In addition to the application, for points 1 and 2 of the Call the applicants must submit evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions according to the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

For point 3 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to have completed a university graduate study programme in geography, majoring in physical geography with geoecology.

For point 3 of the Call, the preference will be given to the applicants having: experience in field work (primarily hydromorphological research); prior excellence awards and recognitions either as a student or a researcher; participated in science and research work; published papers; held individual presentations at science conferences.

Foreign nationals must submit a Croatian language certificate.

Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations have to rely on the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

The PMF collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifiying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette. 

The results of the Call will be published on the PMF website: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
