The Faculty Council of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Article 78 of the Faculty Statute, announces a
C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S
for appointment into
the expert position of a senior expert associate in the science and higher education system in natural science, the field of chemistry, the branch of biochemistry and medical chemistry or the field of biology, the branch of biochemistry and molecular biology, for an unlimited term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Biochemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry - 1 person.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, applicants have to meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette Nos 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14, 60/15 and 131/17.)
In addition to the application, the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship, and other supporting documents as proofs of eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call, in accordance with Article 10 of the Ordinance on the Appointment into Grades and Positions at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science, which can be accessed on the PMF website.
In addition to the application, the applicants must prove they satisfy the additional terms and conditions as set forth in the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the University of Zagreb PMF Department of Chemistry.
The applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in chemistry, research-focused (mag chem. or pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer of chemistry) or to have completed a university graduate study programme in molecular biology (mag. mol. biol. or pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer of biology, majoring in molecular biology).
The applicants must satisfy the following additional terms and conditions: to have work experience in the science and research in protein biochemistry, supported by their relevant scientific papers, and the experience in teaching biochemistry at the university level, supported by a course delivery certificate.
Foreign nationals must submit a proof of Croatian language proficiency together with their application.
Applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations must invoke the preference in their application and provide all the evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call.
An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.
Among the applicants who are fully eligible under all the formal terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed and timely application, a pre-selection procedure shall be conducted in the form of a comparative assessment of the information submitted in their respective CVs. Based on the results of the pre-selection procedure, a list of applicants shall be drawn to be called for an interview with the Selection Board.
The applicants will receive a special notification advising them of the place and time of the interview.
Any applicant who fails to show up for the interview at the time and place as specified in the special notification, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for submission of applications is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
Applications and the supporting evidence of eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call should be posted to the following address: Prirodoslovno-matematički fakultet, Dekanat (Kadrovska služba), Zagreb, Horvatovac 102a.
The results of the Call will be published on the PMF website: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
