The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Article 80 of the Faculty Statute, announces a

C A L L   F O R   A P P L I C A T I O N S

for appointment into

 

Associate position of teaching assistant in natural science, the field of physics, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Theoretical Physics of Condensed Matter of the PMF’s Department of Physics - 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

 

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms. In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, the applicants must meet the conditions set forth in the Act on Higher Education and  Scientific Activity (OG 119/2022)

 

In addition to the application, the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship, the transcript of records.

 

The applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a university graduate study programme in physics – master of physics/pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer of physics; or an integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme in physics - master of physics/pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer of physics; or an university graduate study programme in physics -  master of education in physics/pre-Bologna degree of professor of physics; or a study programme that is equivalent thereto, and to have a GPA of 4.00 or higher from the previous study levels (undergraduate and graduate or integrated study programmes).

 

The proof of GPA includes a certificate or a transcript of records. The applicants must provide such proof and enclose it with their application.

 

Foreign nationals must provide a Croatian language certificate and enclose it with their application.

 

The applicants who qualify for employment preference under special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and provide all the evidence listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same conditions as set forth in the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

 

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

 

The applicants who meet all the formal terms and conditions of the Call, based on their duly completed, complete and timely application, will be invited for an interview with the Selection Board.

 

The applicants will receive a separate notification advising them of the time and place of the interview. Any applicants who fail to attend the interview at the time and place as specified in the notification, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

 

The PMF collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifiying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

 

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette

 

The results of the Call will be published on the PMF website: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
