The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Article 78 of the Faculty Statute, announces the following

C A L L   F O R   A P P L I C A T I O N

for the appointment of  

 

1. an associate to the position of a senior expert associate in the science and higher education system in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of analytical chemistry, for an indefinite term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry - 1 person.

 

2. an associate to the position of a senior expert associate in the science and higher education system, in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of analytical chemistry, for an indefinite term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry – 1 person.

 

3. an associate to the position of an expert associate in the science and higher education system, in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of analytical chemistry, for an indefinite term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry – 1 person.

 

4. an associate to the position of an expert associate in the science and higher education system, in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of analytical chemistry, for a fixed term and on a part-time basis of 50% of the full time equivalent (on a full-time basis until the return of a temporarily absent employee), at the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry – 1 person.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

 

The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.

 

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set forth in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).

 

For points 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Call, in addition to their respective applications, the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship, and other supporting documents proving their eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call in accordance with Article 10 of the Ordinance on Appointment into Grades and Positions at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, which can be accessed on the PMF website:  (http://www.pmf.unizg.hr/images/50022658/Pravilnik%20o%20izborima%20u%20zvanja%20i%20na%20radna%20mjesta%20na%20PMF-u%20(procisceni%20tekst)-21-4-22.pdf)

 

In addition to the application, the applicants must submit evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions listed in the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a graduate university study programme in Chemistry, research-oriented (a master’s degree in chemistry or a pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer in chemistry).

 

For point 1 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have experience related to the work of the HPLC-SPE/NMR system and the analysis of complex compound mixtures. The supporting evidence should include the reprints of published research papers and/or conference proceedings.

 

For point 2 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a graduate university study programme in Chemistry, research-oriented (a master’s degree in chemistry or a pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer in chemistry).

 

For point 2 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have work experience related to the analytical application of the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) systems. The supporting evidence should include the reprints of published research papers and/or conference proceedings.

 

For point 3 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a graduate university study programme in Chemistry, research-oriented (a master’s degree in chemistry or a pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer in chemistry).

 

For point 3 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have experience related to the preparation and characterisation of nanomaterials; experience related to the screening microscopy methods and plasma spectrometry methods. The supporting evidence should include the abstracts of theses and dissertations and/or proofs of conference proceedings.

 

For point 4 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following condition: to have completed a graduate university study programme in Chemistry, research-oriented (a master’s degree in chemistry or a pre-Bologna degree of graduate engineer in chemistry).

 

For point 4 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to be familiar with the analytical equipment (NMR, HPLC, IR etc.) and the chemical synthesis methods. The supporting evidence should include the abstracts of theses and dissertations and/or proofs of conference proceedings.

 

Foreign nationals must also submit a Croatian language certificate for all points of the Call.

 

The applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations have to invoke the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, based on a duly completed and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call. An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

 

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

 

All applicants eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call who have submitted a duly completed, complete and timely application, shall participate in a preselection procedure consisting of a comparative assessment of the information provided in their respective CVs. Based on the outcome of the preselection procedure, the Selection Board will draw up a list of applicants to be invited for an interview with the Board members.

 

The applicants will receive a separate notification advising them of the time and place of the interview.

 

Any applicants who fail to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate notification, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

 

The Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

 

The closing date for the submission of applications for the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
