TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The Call is open to applicants of both sexes on equal terms.

In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, the applicants must satisfy the conditions set forth in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/2022).

In addition to their respective applications, for the points 1, 2, and 3 of the Call the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.

For the point 1 of the Call the applicants must satisfy the following additional conditions: to have experience in evolutionary biology and entomology, as well the methods of molecular phylogenetics. The eligibility will be assessed against the topics of published papers.

For the points 1, 2, and 3 of the Call, in addition to their respective applications, the applicants must also provide the evidence to prove that they meet the additional terms and conditions according to the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Biology of the PMF, the University of Zagreb.

For the point 1 of the Call the applicants must also enclose with their application other supporting documents as a proof of eligibility against the terms and conditions of the Call in accordance with Article 10 of the Ordinance on the Appointment into Grades and Positions at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science, which can be accessed on the PMF website:

In addition to their respective applications, for the point 1 of the Call the applicants submit: a photocopy of the decision concerning the appointment into a research grade (if any), evidence of the research, teaching and professional work, the reprints of papers and a certificate of registration and citation in relevant databases – Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus, Medline and other databases relevant for specific science fields.

The applicants under the point 1 of the Call must also submit a Declaration of Originality for their published academic output, confirming that all the papers and achievements they refer to are the original results of their work and that such work does not contain any sources other than the ones mentioned and acknowledged therein. For the point 2 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to have completed a university graduate study programme in Ecology and Environmental Protection, an integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme in Biology and Chemistry – teaching oriented, a university graduate study programme in Experimental Biology, a university graduate study programme in Molecular Biology.

For the point 3 of the Call, the applicants must satisfy the following conditions: to have completed a university graduate study programme in Molecular Biology, a university graduate study programme in Experimental Biology, a university graduate study programme in Ecology and Environmental Protection, an integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme in Biology and Chemistry – teaching oriented.

Foreign nationals must submit a Croatian language certificate for all points of the Call.

The applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and provide all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and that they have achieved the top scores at the interview. An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements.

Incomplete and late applications shall not be taken into consideration.

The applicants applying for the points 1, 2, and 3 of the Call that fully meet all the formal terms and conditions of the Call, based on their duly completed, complete, and timely application, will be invited for an interview with the Selection Board. The applicants will be separately notified of the time and place of the interview. Any applicants who fail to attend the interview at the time and place as specified in the separate notification, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

The PMF collects and processes the personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifiying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No.035-01/18-01; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
